Being awarded at the second edition of \"L'Umbria che Eccelle\", alongside entrepreneurial realities much larger than us, does nothing but flatter and fill our hearts with joy.<\/p>

The Colle Uncinano Winery is one of the 47 best entrepreneurial activities in the Umbria region, an editorial initiative that started with the weekly publication, within the pages of the Corriere dell'Umbria newspaper, of journalistic reports on companies that, for history, innovation, quality , turnover and exports, have distinguished themselves nationally and internationally, bringing made in Umbria to the world. The project included a complete collection of these articles and an in-depth day at the municipal theater of Todi, in the presence of the mayor of Todi Antonino Ruggiano, that of the two presidents of the provinces Marco Vinicio Guasticchi for Perugia and Feliciano Polli for Terni, of the Honorable Rocco Girlanda (CEO of Corriere dell'Umbria), the Professor of Economics and Business Management at the University of Perugia Massimo Paoli, the President of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena Giuseppe Mussari, the President of the Region Catiuscia Marini, the Minister for the implementation of the program Gianfranco Rotondi and the editor of Corriere dell'Umbria Anna Mossuto.<\/em><\/p>

And Save The Last Grape could not be missing, because in the two-page special released on 10 December 2010 there was also our project on Trebbiano Spoletino, of which the following article is reproduced below:<\/p>

\"A sort of wine reality show lands on the web to make you discover up close the great care and intense work that hides behind a bottle of wine\"<\/em><\/p>

\"Save the last grape\" is the reality of the Colle Uncinano wine cellar. Posts and videos uploaded online in real time to let anyone know the behind the scenes of the work done, but also to document in a simple and clear way the genesis of a vineyard, in this case of Trebbiano Spoletino. The project was born from an idea of \u200b\u200bFrancesco Campanella (son of Claudio), Nicola Zucconi and Maria Chiara Belia and surprised everyone among the stands of the Vinitaly fair in Verona, including famous producers. But internet users were also quite impressed, so much so that from April 2009 to today there have been thousands of clicks and registered accesses from the website www.savethelastgrape.com. The idea is ambitious: to tell the creation of a vineyard through the pages of a virtual diary, from planting to bottling. The curators' goal is \"to let all people, especially those who have not been lucky enough to be born in the countryside, know how precious the fruits that man takes from nature are\". Nothing is taken for granted and nothing is left to chance, especially in a company like that of Colle Uncinano where everything is highly attentive. So the first post that you find is dated April 13 and tells in detail the planting of the cuttings, the seedlings of the vine, an operation that is identified in all respects as the genesis of what, in a few years, will be the delicious content of the bottles of Trebbiano Spoletino from Colle Uncinano. A sunny day was needed \u201cbecause - we read - the earth must be rather dry and it is also necessary that the ground be well leveled\u201d. A specialized team is responsible for carrying out the so-called squaring of the ground, a particularly delicate phase designed to define the geometry, texture and therefore the aesthetics of the vineyard. The logbook allows time for the cuttings to first discard deep roots and then to grow. A series of photos shows how in four months, at this point we are already in the heart of summer, the leaves of Trebbiano have already assumed the heart-shaped shape that distinguishes them. The second phase of construction of a vineyard is then described, that is, that of piling during which steel and concrete supports are installed. The vineyard grows under the careful control of agronomists and Claudio Campanella, but also of the many enthusiasts who, thanks to the window opened and curated by Francesco, are able to observe and understand very closely the great work that is hidden inside a bottle of wine.\"<\/em><\/p>
