Il lungo cammino del Trebbiano Spoletino
Il lungo cammino del Trebbiano Spoletino

We already know that this experience will have the taste of fatigue. That fatigue that, when evening comes, makes you feel good because it has matured with working outdoors, in that piece of land you love, in the silence of the vineyard you are growing.
Every passionate wine producer who plants a rooted vine lives aslow and patient emotion. For at least three years, it will endure with dedication and tenacity, until the first harvest, until the first bottle of the new wine.

It's been twenty years that I wish to plant this vineyard, right here on our property in Spoleto, to do wine and sparkling wine from Trebbiano Spoletino.
Memory impresses me and tells me that Trebbiano Spoletino is a white that has the prodigious body of a red.
Reality reminds me that until a few years ago, this grape was in danger of disappearing from the ampelographic map of Umbria.

The adventure of my cellar and my family to rediscover Trebbiano Spoletino starts here.
From the pages of savethelastgrape, together with my wife Lorella and my children Antonella, Francesco, "Andres", "Maria" and the winemaker of the Claudio Gori winery, I will tell the joys and sorrows of the Colle Uncinano vineyard.
I will try to cultivate the essence of the vine, almost by a miracle escaped from oblivion, perhaps also due to the confusion with the name of another white bunch.

We decided to present Save The Last Grape to all wine lovers and experts, on the occasion of our winery's participation in the 43rd edition of Vinitaly in Verona.

Symbolically, we have packed small bags with the land of the future vineyard (in the photo)

A little lucky charm to start this long journey well,

Francesco Campanella (Owner)
