Preparing the land
Do you see that soft and crumbly soil? Well, we didn't find it quite like that when we chose it for our Trebbiano Spoletino. As always to achieve our purpose, or to prepare a flat bed to arrange the cuttings in orderly rows, we relied on the technique and experience of Renzo, our agronomist. Renzo even “calculated” the day when the soil, at the time of processing, would have been drier on the surface and moist in depth to get us as close as possible to the ideal conditions for planting the vineyard.
Some technical data to get a more concrete idea ...
Surface worked 1.5 ha
New Holland crawler tractor machinery and a modest harrow (only 36 tips!)
Working hours 2 and a half hours (including break)
People Three people
What you see in the picture driving the crawler tractor is my father Claudio who never gives up the pleasure of working in the vineyard.
With the fundamental help of the specialized team, he managed to smooth out the unevenness of the ground, the furrows that remained and eradicate the weeds that grow spontaneously everywhere.
