La potatura del trebbiano spoletino cantina colle uncinano

Our Trebbiano Spoletino wine lies at rest in a tank of our cellar, but now it's time to start pruning and prepare the vine for next year's harvest. Pruning is the most delicate phase, where the foundations are laid for a good harvest. In the past harvest we opted for a spurred cordon training method but from this year we decided to change the system and switch to Guyot, typical of white grape varieties. The Guyot system allows the vines to be rejuvenated, leaving two small branches, one for next year's production and the other as a reserve, in case the main one is accidentally damaged. Unfortunately I was unable to take photos due to my forgetfulness, however in the future I will update the post or make a new one to better document this fundamental agronomic practice of the vine.
