September 2010. After two days of hard work in the cellar, moving boxes of wine, it's time to go back to our Trebbiano Spoletino vineyard (it rhymes!). All jokes aside, I will now briefly describe what was done in this pre-harvest period.

Following the arrangement of the first wire, placed at a height of 1 m, poles called tutors were positioned with the function of supporting the screw; these can be either solid iron, usually small diameter carpentry irons are used, or bamboo, much less resistant but cheaper. These stakes, in addition to the support, act as a guide for the plant so that the latter grows perfectly vertically up to the first steel wire. Once the wire and the size of the shaft have been reached such as to support the screw alone, these posts are removed. This phase is performed when the ground is still wet, about two or three days after a storm, in order to facilitate the insertion of the stake in the subsoil. Everything is done strictly by hand.

Now we calmly await the arrival of the harvest and autumn, there are many events and tastings scheduled in which there will be an opportunity to make our Trebbiano Spoletino project known.
